Get certified to play!

Junior golfers at least 8 years old who want to play the Cantigny Youth Links without adult supervision need to be certified. The certification process is easy, and no previous course experience is required! Simply enroll in the Level 1 Certification Clinic. This is the first clinic in our series of Awareness Stage: Introductory Clinics.

Certification Testing/Unsupervised Play

Junior golfers with previous clinic or private instruction experience from a PGA Professional are eligible to bypass the Level 1 clinic. Students who select this option will need a signed letter from their previous instructor -- click here for a form. To gain unsupervised playing privileges, the junior must successfully complete the Certification Testing.

Testing dates are available to juniors on Wednesday evenings from 6–7 pm. Testing involves a written quiz and a two-hole on-course evaluation, focusing on safety and course etiquette.

• The junior must be at least 8 years old
• A note must be obtained from the PGA Professional who has provided the instruction
• Advance sign-up for one of the testing dates
• $30 fee on the testing date
